I feel like we’re still missing a concise definition of what privact actually is, so I wrote my own. Let me know whether you agree with what I came up with and if there’s anything important that’s still missing.
We could put something like this at the top of our future website so visitors aren’t immediately confronted by a wall of text.

We are developing the necessary infrastructure to take back control over our data. Privact’s aim is to create a future in which users decide for themselves what kind of personal data is generated and what happens to it.
We want to achieve this by:
Creating the digital means to keep user data on the device it was generated on
Building an NGO that acts as a trustee for user data
Establishing a system that enables organisations to apply for access to that data and users to grant or deny it
This will create a win-win for everyone: Individuals take back control over their own data, while organisations can rely on high-quality datasets to power innovation and research.

I quite like it and it is definitely worth the effort. Some comments:
A bit missing for me is our usp: the social hack as I like to call it. Many are working on technologies or infrastructure, but our focus is to make it actually happen in society. For this we want to unite the technology makers and actually help them to achieve their mission
We do not want to call our organization an NGO anymore. NGOs are the partners we are looking for. To distinguish we want to call our organisation: “Organisation”
I would like to see the “grant or deny” aspect to be turned more into the focus on the donation system.
Thanks for your input, @bjoern! I’ve adapted the corresponding passages to reflect your comments. Though I couldn’t think of a way to put the “free society” aspect in there without it sounding overly dramatic. Let me know if you have an idea for that.

Creating the digital means to keep user data on the device it was generated on
Building an **organisation** that acts as a trustee for user data
Establishing a system that enables NGOs and other institutions to apply for access to that data and users to donate their data to them if they wish to do so
This will create a win-win for everyone: Individuals take back control over their own data, while organisations can rely on high-quality datasets to power innovation and research.

It is confusing. Create something to enable someone to get acess from users if they want to…
It also it not quite on spot:
– While NGOs can take any role in our plan, we mostly consider them as NGOs with respect to checking on applicants to the systems, that is other organizations. This aspect is in general currently poorly reflected on our page, partialy due to lack of an expert on this topic?
– Also, researches or journalists can get access, not only organizations.
– It may also be worthwhile to point out, that comercial use is also allowed, as long as they follow all the rules. That will be audited.
Yes, that is probably too much detail for a tldr. But maybe you can splice the most important key points in?
Thanks for your input, @Helge! How about this then:
